INSTALLING GRAB BARS IN TUBS AND SHOWERS

HAUS Handyman can make your bathroom safer and more comfortable with the addition of grab bars. There are several spots in the bathroom where grab bars can be helpful when sitting down, standing up, or gaining access. You may need them in the shower or bath, and by the toilet. The most secure and permanent way to install grab bars is into studs but we can install grab bars in most places where there is drywall, tile, wood panelling, concrete, stone, or fibreglass.

The key to a grab bar is the ease of use, so the first thing is to determine a comfortable height and position for the user. Once the grab bar is mounted, we waterproof it with silicone caulking to make sure everything is sealed and watertight. We can position grab bars vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, whichever is most accessible and of use. How you or your loved one uses the bars determines this positioning.
